FORRES Mechanics strengthened their board at an EGM at Mosset Park last night.

The meeting was led by new chairman Dave MacDonald, with a financial update provided by Sandy Dow.

Six new board members were added, to take the board to 11. The maximum size a board can be is 15, with the Cans still seeking to add to their current set-up.

The new directors are David Mackintosh, Derek Fraser, Sandy Aird and Alistair Scrimgeour. Ian Wood, recently appointed club secretary, and Brian Fraser were seconded – taking the new board from five to 11 members.

Manager Charlie Rowley was present at the meeting and took questions from fans on the playing side of things, while also confirming the playing budget was not as tight as it was thought it might be.

Rowley currently has 14 players signed up for the new season – with four players yet to sign up.

The performance of the Cans Lotto was discussed, with it being said 100 new members would help it become a great success.

Gordon Williamson's sponsorship has also been extended.
