Six, including four children, taken to hospital as a precaution after fire in Forres

SIX people have been taken to hospital after a house fire in Forres.

Two adults and four children were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness as a precaution after the fire on Twinning Link.

A total of 11 fire appliances and the police were called to the scene in Forres this morning just after 8am.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "The incident is rated at level two so there are lots of crews on scene, including specialist resources.

"These include a height appliance, breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and a main jet."

The road is closed at the junction of Vienenburg Avenue and Grant Road West.
