House fire at Twinning Link, Forres

THE emergency services are attending a major incident on a Forres housing estate.

Seven appliances from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) are currently at the address on Twinning Link, with four more on route.

A SFRS spokesperson said: "We took a call at 8.03am with a report of a property on fire which we immediately attended.

"The incident is rated at level two so there are lots of crews on scene, including specialist resources. These include a height appliance, breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and a main jet.

"The incident is ongoing."

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed at around 8.10am this morning they were were called to a report of a house fire in Twinning Link.

She said: "Emergency services are currently at the scene.

"The road is currently closed at the junction of Vienenburg Avenue and Grant Road West."
