Fresh from competing at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, the former pupil at Forres Academy has won her first major international medal.

A British champion, Manchester-based Bell teamed up with Sophie Capewell and Emma Finucane to repeat Team GB's women's team sprint bronze from last year's championships.

The British trio made the podium on Wednesday by the tightest of margins, pipping the Netherlands to bronze in a play-off by eight thousandths of a second.
