And the Scottish super-welterweight bout will be a rematch of 'Wilko's fight against Arbroath rival Corey McCulloch.

The two boxers went the full ten rounds at Elgin Town Hall in December, and Forres-based Wilkinson took the Scottish title on points after being awarded nine of the rounds by the judges.

McCulloch will get his chance for revenge in Glasgow, while Wilkinson is confident that he will preserve his perfect professional record by notching up a seventh straight victory.

The fight will take place on March 24 on a bill titled 'Repeat or Revenge'.

Wilkinson, from Hopeman, a product of the Elgin Amateur Boxing Club, turned pro three years ago and has enjoyed great success for his Kynoch Boxing promotions outfit.

He beat Dale Arrowsmith on his debut in September 2021 then defeated Seamus Devlin later that year, both wins on points over four rounds in Glasgow.

Last March he knocked down opponent Jordan Latimer three times for his first technical knockout in the first round of a bout at Inverness' Ironworks.

Two more fights in the Highland capital saw 'Wilko' outpoint Josh Cook and Kristaps Zulgis for victories four and five, landing him a shot at the Scottish super-welterweight title in his first home show last month.

He thrilled the Elgin crowd with a polished display to defeat McCulloch and land the Boxing Scotland belt.

"It’s time to finished what we started," said Wilkinson on Facebook.
