Weather wipes out Highland League football fixtures

There will be no midweek Highland league matches played this week.

All four of tonight's scheduled fixtures have fallen victim to the wintry weather conditions.

Forres Mechanics' clash with Huntly was first to fall by the wayside on Tuesday due to a frosty Mosset Park surface, and for the same reason Lossiemouth's match against Inverurie Locos was called off.

Heavy snow in Grantown was the reason why Strathspey Thistle's Seafield Park failed a pitch inspection for their planned game against Wick Academy.

Finally, on Wednesday morning, Keith's Kynoch Park was ruled unplayable for their match at home to Banks O' Dee.
