Wilkinson lost his Scottish super-welterweight title to Arbroath’s Corey McCulloch, who he beat on points last December to claim the belt for the first time - see full fight below.

His rival took his revenge at Dundee’s Caird Hall, by a technical KO in the fifth round of a tough bout - both boxers were down in an explosive first two rounds.

“I dared to be great in the lion’s den,” he said after his defeat. “Been in the ring seven times now as a professional with that being my second championship fight.

“A lot learnt from the moment and I can’t make any excuses, credit to my opponent. Hopefully we can dance one more time."
