Seniors scramble for victory

Last weekl 38 Wednesday Seniors turned out fora Texas Scramble. Once again the weather was kind with plenty of sunshine to encourage the players.

It was looking like a tight finish with 2 teams in the clubhouse separated by only point one of a shot, but the last team in – led by Gary Macdonald – swept all before them with an excellent win by four clear shots.

Results

1: Gary MacDonald(13), Alan Bell(14), Andy Allan(20) and Jimmy Jones(21) – 54.2

2: George Jenkins(8), Gordon Thomson(16) and Jim Hogg(26) – 58.7

3: Donny Hutcheson(5), Douglas Murray(17) and Bill Dallas(21) – 58.8

Forres GC Winter league results

Parrott soars to Winter league success

Keith Parrott came from behind in the 8th and final Forres GC 2013 /14 winter league. Keith’s finalscore of 53 Stableford points allowed him to tie Gibby Fraser on a best of 5 from 8 scores on 193 Stableford points. The winter league title was then decided on their best sixth score. RESULTS

1: Keith Parrott 193 pts, 2: Gibby Fraser 193 pts, 3: Gary Macdonald 192 pts, 4: Kenny Paterson 188 pts, 5: Stan Thompson 188 pts.
