Last weekl 38 Wednesday Seniors turned out for a Texas Scramble. Once again the weather was kind with plenty of sunshine to encourage the players.

It was looking like a tight finish with 2 teams in the clubhouse separated by only point one of a shot, but the last team in – led by Gary Macdonald – swept all before them with an excellent win by four clear shots.

Results

1: Gary MacDonald(13), Alan Bell(14), Andy Allan(20) and Jimmy Jones(21) – 54.2

2: George Jenkins(8), Gordon Thomson(16) and Jim Hogg(26) – 58.7

3: Donny Hutcheson(5), Douglas Murray(17) and Bill Dallas(21) – 58.8

Forres GC Winter league results

Parrott soars to Winter league success

Keith Parrott came from behind in the 8th and final Forres GC 2013 /14 winter league. Keith’s final score of 53 Stableford points allowed him to tie Gibby Fraser on a best of 5 from 8 scores on 193 Stableford points. The winter league title was then decided on their best sixth score. RESULTS

1: Keith Parrott 193 pts, 2: Gibby Fraser 193 pts, 3: Gary Macdonald 192 pts, 4: Kenny Paterson 188 pts, 5: Stan Thompson 188 pts.
