Seniors enjoy Texas Scramble

A GROUP of 39 Wednesday Seniors took part in the first competition of 2014, a 3 Ball Best-Ball. The lull in the weather was probably the reason so many turned out, or was it the fight against the Christmas flab?

After a three week layoff there was a competitive edge to the proceedings with 8 of the teams scoring 61 or below, and the winning team scoring an excellent 57.

Results:

1: Gordon Laing(9), Les Morgan(17) and Bill Taylor(23) – 57.

2: Vince Dobby(16), Peter Dora(19) and Andy Allan(22) – 58.

3: Tom Fleetham(8), Mike Sweeney(12) and John MacRae(26) – 59.
