A GROUP of 38 Wednesday Seniors took to the course to take part in a Team Stableford Best-Ball competition.

Each team registered their best score for each hole, with all three scoring on one hole only.

With winter greens in use, the course was reduced in length and, coupled with some benign weather, some astronomic scores were recorded.

Only one point separated the top five teams; the fourth team out, led by Alasdair More, held on to win with 63points.

RSEULTS

1: Alasdair More(2), Gary MacDonald(15) and Ian Dustan(26) – 63pts(BIH)

2: Ian Hampton(11), Eric Jefferson(16), Gordon Thomson(17) and Ian McIntosh(20) – 63pts

3: Tom Fleetham(6), Dennis Pritchard(19) and Bill Taylor(21) – 62pts(BIH)

The annual whist drive run by the ladies at Forres golf club was held on Tuesday , February 11 with 16 and a half tables.

Maureen Welburn (playing as a gent) came first with 134 points, Ron Grant came second with 130 points, Jim Jones came third with 126 points and consolation prize went to Bill Ritchie with 104 points. Ann James came first with 137, Avril Hislop came second with 135 points, Pat Johnstone came third with 132 points and the consolation went to Shirley Scott with 100 points.

Club Captain Albert Duffus acted as Card Master.

An Open Texas Scramble will be played this Sunday - tee times 8.30am – 12 noon.
