Ex-Celtic, West Ham and Scotland striker Frank McAvennie will be joined by Aberdeen and Scotland legend Stewart McKimmie at a question and answer evening at Elgin City Social Club.

The event takes place on Saturday February 26.

McAvennie (61) scored on his Scotland debut against Australia in 1985 to help his country qualify for the World Cup, where he played in Mexico 1986.

His senior career started at St Mirren and he was lured to London by West Ham United before joining Celtic in 1987.

In his first season at Celtic Park he won a league and cup double, netting both goals in a 2-1 Scottish Cup final success over Dundee United.

McKimmie (59) began his career at Dundee but it was at Aberdeen where he enjoyed great success.

Signed by Alex Ferguson just after the Dons' famous European Cup Winners Cup triumph over Real Madrid, the full back won the European Super Cup in his first season.

He went on to play 561 matches for the Pittodrie side, winning two titles as well as three Scottish Cups and three League Cups, captaining Aberdeen to his last triumph in 1995.

McKimmie wasn't renowned for his goalscoring talents but famously netted the winning goal for Scotland against World Cup holders Argentina at Hampden in 1990.

Elgin Albion play in the Forres and Nairn welfare league.
