MILD WEATHER and the longer evenings are allowing riders to start the competition season early, and in the Mundole Equestrian Winter Series on Sunday, good entries in all classes made for some excellent showjumping.
In the 0.70 class, Ben Macdonald, Contin, beat Amy Beck’s fast round by two seconds.
Ben was well up in the 0.80 jump-off, but a fall at the last fence forced him to retire.
French rider Rose Bungener was in good form taking top spot in the 1.00m class riding Lynn and Grenville Goode’s Sanissimo. The Gordonstoun pupil trains with Avril Johnston when studies permit.
