The Caledonia League Division 2 is a developmental league and as such a team which does not have the requisite numbers, for whatever reason, are still able to fulfil a fixture.

In such a situation, team numbers must be matched. A team with more players can loan players to the opposition to have a game as near 15-a-side as possible and allow all to have game time.

Last Saturday, Caithness 2nds could unfortunately only travel with eight team members and in the spirit of the league and game, some Moray team members played for the Thurso side to allow the game to be played.

This provided for a very entertaining and competitive encounter which the Moray 2nds won by 39 points to 26 and gave all the much-needed game time.
