Moray Women created history last Saturday when they won their first-ever league game.

The female side defeated Stornoway Women by 20 points to 5 in a Caledonia North Region Division 2 (Womens) fixture at Morriston.

The home side played very well, showing great determination and recorded a four-try-to-one, bonus point victory. Moray try scorers were Becca Sodeau, Lizzie Nuttall, Bethany Eaglesham and Liz Robinson.

Special mention goes to Liz Davidson who has progressed from participating in ‘Walking Rugby’ to playing for the women's team.

This Saturday, Moray Women are away to Highland Women.

Anyone who would like to give women’s rugby a try can contact Moray Rugby Club through their Facebook page or e-mail their Development Officer at do@morayrfc.co.uk
