Scottish Cup draw: Forres Mechanics to take on Golspie Sutherland in first round

HIGHLAND League clubs learned their Scottish Cup first round opponents after the draw took place late on Sunday night.

All 18 Highland League clubs entered the draw at the round one stage, with two all-Highland League ties pulled out the hat by Scotland goalkeeper Craig Gordon.

Rothes will travel to Glebe Park to take on Highland League champions Brechin City – who they lost 2-0 to at home in the league on Saturday, while Clachnacuddin host Inverurie Locos.

Forres Mechanics will take on North Caledonian League opposition in Golspie Sutherland, away from home.

Buckie Thistle will both be hitting the road, travelling towards Dundee to take on Tayport.

Keith and Lossiemouth were handed home ties. The Maroons will take on Luncarty, from Perthshire, while Lossie will welcome Ayrshire side Beith to Grant Park.
