Medals for Moray Figure Skating Club at Skate Ayrshire competition

There's been more success for Moray Figure Skating Club on the national ice.
The club sent a group of young members to the Skate Ayrshire event, and returned with a medal haul.
Comtinuing a fine run of victories this year, Buckie's Chloe Sutherland won the latest of many national golds with her performance in the National 3 competition.
She enjoyed a strong lead amongst a field of twelve skaters from all over the country.
Dunphail's Daniel Clapperton won gold in the Beginner Men's event in his first-ever national competition. Team-mate Cameron Wilkie from Elgin was just behind, winning silver.
Layla Hill from Burghead won silver in the National 2 competition in a field of 18 skaters from around the UK. She hit a personal best score of over 26 points and has chalked up many national golds.
Meanwhile, Mosstowie's David Anderson narrowly missed out on bronze in the National 7 event. But he successfully landed a total of four high quality triple jumps which were all awarded positive grades of execution by the judging panel. He won the second highest technical score against some of the top men in the UK.
Strong performances were also given by Emily Wright and Millie Anderson.
The skaters all train at Moray Leisure Centre with coaches Graeme Summers-Campbell and Sue Summers-Farrell.
Moray Figure Skating Club and Academy have produced numerous national and international medal winners and Scottish champions.
Their current national and international medal tally is now 61 golds, 48 silvers and 29 bronzes.
The club holds their 'Superskate' session at 5pm every Friday. It's open to all skaters who have passed Skate UK level 4 and above.
