Forres Gymnastics Club quartet claim four medals at Winter Festival at Banchory Sports Centre

LAST week's Winter Festival competition in Aberdeenshire proved to be a big success for Forres Gymnastics Club.

Four girls made the trip to the Banchory Sports centre to take part, and came home with four medals.

Mya Morrison won a bronze medal on floor, another bronze on vault and silver overall, helping her team to take the 10/11 years team silver .

Forres head coach Patsy Fraser-Mackintosh said: "It was a very long day and we battled through the storm to get there, but the coaches were delighted to see the girls competing and socialising again."

She added that some of the club's gymnasts are now in training for the North District Championships in March .
