Kinloss Rugby Club reach Murrayfield final after 31-17 win over Cumbernauld in National Bowl

KINLOSS Rugby Club will play on the hallowed turf of Murrayfield next month after reaching the final of the National Bowl.

The Eagles soared to a 31-17 victory over visitors Cumbernauld RFC on Saturday, securing passage to the final at the national stadium in Edinburgh.

There they will take on Panmure RFC, from Broughty Ferry, who beat Edinburgh University Medics 19-14 in the other semi-final.

The final at Murrayfield will take place on Saturday, May 6, with a time yet to be confirmed.

A Kinloss Rugby Club spokesperson said: "Thank you to Cumbernauld RFC – you travelled in numbers and gave us a great match. All the best for the rest of your season.

"Planning starts now for the final so save the date as we are going there to bring a trophy home."
