Six cup finals stand between Forres Mechanics and a historic second title as they enter the final straight in the title race sitting four points clear of their nearest rivals, Cove Rangers.
The Can Cans go to Rothes then host Brora Rangers this week and two victories would see them go at least seven points clear, while moving on to the 70 point mark with four games to play.
They will then face Keith in the quarter finals of the Breedons Aggregates Highland League Cup on April 7, at Mosset Park, before heading to Kynoch Park on league duty seven days later. By that point in time most of the top teams should have played a similar number of games and we will know when the three remaining fixtures will be played.
Goal difference could yet be important and with Cove Rangers still having to play both Fort William and Strathspey Thistle it is important the Mechanics try to add to their impressive goals tally if the opportunity is there to do so.
