Jags netted the quickest goal of the season - and probably many a season - when Marcus Goodall scored straight from kick off in their 4-1 win at Nairn County.

Goodall's strike came inside ten seconds and was the only goal of the first half before Buckie made an equally impressive start to the second period.

Within three minutes of kick off Andy MacAskill and Scott Adams had found the net to bring the score to 3-0.

Almost immediately Andy Greig's first goal for Nairn reduced the deficit but Sam Urquhart grabbed his 20th goal of the season on 78 minutes to seal victory.

It was also Buckie's 100th goal of the season in all competitions, the first club to hit the ton.

Buckie travel to Fraserburgh on Wednesday night knowing a two-goal win would put them top of the table on goal difference.

Fraserburgh's match at Strathspey Thistle was off along with Rothes' trip to Clach.

Brechin City needed a stoppage time goal to stay level on points with Buckie as they handed Forres Mechanics new boss Steven MacDonald a 1-0 defeat in his first match at the helm.

Kevin McHattie's last-gasp effort broke Cans hearts in a tight contest at Mosset Park.

Brora Rangers stayed in touch with the leading pack, effectively ending Inverurie Locos lingering league hopes with a 2-1 success at Dudgeon Park.

Brora's opener went in off Locos keeper Andy Reid and Ali Sutherland added a second before Rob Ward pulled one back for the visitors just before the break.

Keith were the biggest movers after a great start helped them to a 3-1 victory at Turriff United.

James Brownie netted his sixth goal in four games to open Keith's account against his former club on five minutes, and within two minutes Matty Tough had made it 2-0.

Teenager Aaron Reid netted his first Highland League goal to pull one back for Turriff on the hour.

But another first sealed the win for Keith with Kieran Mooney also scoring for the first time in Highland League football to clinch the Maroons success in the last minute.

Three goals in as many second half minutes brought Lossiemouth's match against Deveronvale to life and earned the Coasters a 2-1 win.

Robert Scott put Vale in front just after the hour only for Ryan Farquhar to level immediately and within 60 seconds Dean Stewart scored from the spot for Lossie with what proved to be the winner.

Fort William earned only their second point of the season to close the gap on Turriff at the bottom yo just seven points with a fine 1-1 draw at Huntly.

Kyle Dalling gave Huntly the lead at half time but Yves Zama equalised for the vastly-improved Fort 20 minutes from time.

Scott Lisle scored a first half hat-trick for Formartine United who then had to hang on for victory after visitors Wick Academy pulled two mack through Mark Macadie and Mark Munro after the break.
