A TRIO of Forres Harriers competed at the British and Irish Cross Country Championships in Dublin.

Conditions were difficult as continuous rain the night before continued throughout the events. Although not as hilly as the Forres trio are used to locally, the terrain was challenging as the slopes were muddy and slippery as a result.

In spite of the cold, there was good support in Santry Park.

Colin Youngson was 14th Male 65+ and Hamish Cameron 20th Male 65+. Both Colin and Hamish were in the Scottish team which came 3rd in their age group.

Anne Docherty was 6th Female 70+, but as there were only 2 ladies in the Female 70+ Scottish team, there were not enough runners to count for a team place.

The 2016 British and Irish Masters Cross Country Championships will take place in Glasgow in Tollcross Park in November 2016.
