Gordon proves he is a real bandit

FORRES Golf Club ladies Section fielded 39 ladies to play in the Stableford competition at Forres on Tuesday, September 18, when the weather was quite showery and cold with some sunny spells throughout the day.

the CSS for the day was in line with the SSS at 71. Catherine Urquhart managed to return an excellent score of 39 points reducing her handicap from 25 to 24.

Silver Division – Isobel Taylor (11), Dorothy Marshall (18) 36; Val Mullen (17), Doreen McCaig (20), Janet Buist (13) 35. Bronze Division – Catherine Urquhart (25) 39; Sandy Morgan (26) 37; Fiona Grant (22), Abbie Cruden (26) 34.

This was also the final stableford competition to count towards the Barbara Grant Trophy which is the best aggregate two scores from four rounds which was won by Lynda Wood with 76 (46 + 30); 2nd Catherine Urquhart 73 (34 + 39); 3rd equal - Fiona Grant and Doreen McCaig 71 (36 + 35).
