FORRES Thistle picked up their second victory of the North Region Junior Championship season with a 3-1 success at Glentanar.
The Jags were a goal to the good at the break through Neil Owen, with late goals from Ewan Turner and Sam Janousek securing the win after an equaliser from the home side's Finlay Brown.
Owen had two opportunities in the opening quarter of an hour, but was twice foiled by home goalkeeper Liam Gibb – who also saved well from Toby Clark.
Clark and Owen linked up again for the first goal as the former slipped the ball to the latter, who drove home from 20 yards via the inside of the post for a 1-0 half-time lead.
Forres keeper Jamie Brown was called into action eight minutes after the break, turning Liam Mackintosh's effort away.
With 20 minutes left to play, a poor free-kick from Neil Moir only found the Glentanar wall and the home side broke up the pitch and scored through Finlay Brown's close-range finish.
The lead was restored within three minutes by substitute Ewan Turner, who scored from 10 yards after neat interplay with Ricky Wardrop.
Forres' advantage was almost doubled 10 minutes from time by Harvey Henderson, but his chipped effort was clawed away from underneath the crossbar by Gibb.
Two minutes into stoppage time, Sam Janousek – subbed on two minutes earlier – wrapped up the scoring when he controlled the ball and scored from 15 yards.
Next up for the Jags is a home match against Cruden Bay, who have lost all six of their league matches, conceding 44 times.
