The uni side struck first on ten minutes, Daniel Kenny working a one-two before firing home.

Thistle quickly levelled in a move started and finished by John Ross, who played the ball out to winger Neil Moir and he beat two defenders to fire in a shot which was parried out for Ross to fire home.

Midway through the first half, Moir took a Charlie Beck pass and shot home to give Forres the lead.

Ross made it 3-1 at half time, cracking the ball into the roof of the net from the edge of the box.

Moir missed a good chance before the break but the visitors asserted their authority in the second half, scoring three more times.

Aberdeen Uni were still dangerous on the counter attack but Danny Black was immense at intercepting and harrassing the opposition.

This allowed Ross to go forward and complete his hat-trick on the hour mark from the penalty spot following a handball award.

Two long range efforts completed the Forres tally, with Beck firstly catching the keeper out from 35 yards.

Then sub Cammy Grant curled a free kick in from similar distance to net the best goal of the game.
