TWELVE golfers are heading out on Moray Golf Club's fairways this morning bidding for championship glory.
All have made it through to the semi-finals of the Lossiemouth club's five-day open, across three handicap sections.
Nine of them are Moray members, heightening the chances of a home clean sweep of the trophies at the 115th running of the tournament.
Forres golfer Matty Wilson is aiming to upset the locals in the scratch section as he is the only travelling golfer in contention for the Northrn Amateur Championship.
The former Forres five-day open champion takes on Jordan Edwards this morning.
Moray's Stuart Tatters has been in fine form in the competition so far and he faces up to Malcolm Macleman in an all-local clash.
Deeside's Bill Bathgate is the only golfer not from Moray in the semi-finals of the MacPherson Rose Bowl.
He meets David Finlay this morning with Jamie Edwards and Mhorvan Sherret competing for the other place in the final.
In handicap section 2, Overstone's Chris Timm meets local favourite Derek Ramsay in the semis and James Campbell takes on Chris MacKenzie in the other match.
The handicap 2 final is at 1pm, handicap 1 begins at 1.30pm and the final of the Northern Amateur Championship begins at 2pm.
