A team of five men competed in the event on Sunday. They were Matthew Halliday, Paul Rogan, Robbie Paterson, Kyle Greig and Gordon Lennox.

The 42km course was split into four legs of various lengths. Matthew Halliday got the team off to a great start on the 11km 1st leg and passed over to the runners on the second leg only two seconds behind the leader.

Paul Rogan and Robbie Paterson ran the two-man second leg over unmarked boggy hills and maintained second place. The third leg runner was Kyle Grieg, who was on top form, fresh from winning the Tap O Noth Scottish Championship race. He flew around the longest and hilliest section in a new leg record! This left Gordon Lennox on the final leg to finish in style. Gordon ran strongly to hold of the chasing Carnethy squad.

The Harriers team won the event in a new course record of 3hrs.10mins, taking six minutes off the old record held by Carnethy Hill Runners. The team were supported by Joanna, Kirstie, Hannah and Emma Rogan.
