For the second Wednesday running, Brechin played out a goalless draw as they were held by Brora Rangers at Glebe Park.

The Tayside outfit now trail leaders Buckie by four points with just one game in hand.

The two leading sides meet on Saturday April 22 at Victoria Park in what has been billed as a title decider.

However, if Brechin were to lose to champions Fraserburgh in their next game, it could give Buckie a chance to clinch the league championship with victory in their home game against Formartine United a week ahead of the Brechin clash.

Brechin had defender Jamie Bain sent off late in their match against Brora, and are now playing catch-up in the league chase.

Elsewhere Keith collected their first win since November 26 with a 2-0 success at home to struggling Wick Academy.

First half goals by James Brownie and Matty Tough earned full points for the Maroons to end a winless streak of 11 matches.

It was only the second time this season that Keith have kept a defensive clean sheet, the last time being when they beat Formartine United 1-0 on September 3.

The result also meant a seventh straight defeat for Wick, who haven't won since January 14 and have endured 11 defeats and two draws since in a plunge to second bottom spot.

A last minute Sean Butcher goal salvaged a point for Fraserburgh at Clach, who had led at the break through a Harry Hennem goal.
