Buckie Thistle roared back into the Highland League title race with a devastating display to effectively end Brora Rangers' league interest.
In the match between two sides playing catch-up on fixtures, Jags charged into a 4-0 lead at Dudgeon Park inside 31 minutes, on their way to a 5-1 victory.
Jack MacIver fired the visitors ahead on ten minutes and in a powerful ten-minute spell, Joe McCabe, Lyall Keir and Jack Murray (pen) all found the net.
The goals then dried up until the closing five minutes when Jordan MacRae pulled one back for Brora, before Keir's second wrapped things up.
Jags are 12 points behind leaders Brechin City with four games in hand, and visit the table toppers this weekend.
Banks O' Dee scored four times in the second half to hand Rothes a 4-0 defeat and move to within a point of Brechin at the top.
Lachie MacLeod (2), Mark Gilmour and Ethan Cairns got the Dee goals after a blank first 45 minutes.
Keith ended a run of seven consecutive defeats in all competitions with a 1-0 success over Turriff United.
Craig Ewen's men had endured a tough run of games against the league's top sides, and didn't have it any easier against a Turriff side starting the day in seventh spot.
But Jordan Cooper's goal in first half injury time won the day, with the Maroons also keeping their first league clean sheet of the season.
Lossiemouth couldn't make it three home wins in a row as they were edged out by Inverurie Locos.
Callum Duncan's strike on 21 minutes proved to be the only one of the night at Grant Park.
Huntly produced a fine display to defeat sixth-placed Nairn County 4-2 at Station Park.
Robbie Foster's early goal and a first senior strike for Elgin City loan forward Fin Allen made it 2-0 on 21 minutes.
Andy Hunter's 19th of the season had the visitors in cruise control, although Nairn staged a mini-revival.
Another Elgin City loan player, Ben Barron pulled one back from the penalty spot on 51 minutes and seven minutes later Fraser Dingwall further reduced the deficit.
But Foster's second, his tenth of the campaign on 68 minutes eased the pressure on Huntly and proved to be the last one of the game.
