Highland League: Buckie Thistle defeat Lossiemouth to go third while Forres Mechanics and Huntly share the spoils

Buckie Thistle returned to winning ways with a comfortable 3-0 win over Lossiemouth on Wednesday night.

Eager to bounce back from their shock 3-2 defeat at home to Clach, Jags eased to victory with Jack Murray, Max Barry and Marcus Goodall on target.

Lossiemouth had Ryan Farquhar sent off for two bookings just before the third goal with 20 minutes to go.

A depleted Forres Mechanics held Huntly to a 2-2 draw at Mosset Park.

Matty Wallace's first goal for Huntly had the visitors ahead midway through the first half.

A second half Cans revival saw Calum Frame level and Mark McLauchlan's maiden strike in Forres colours put them 2-1 up on 67 minutes, before sub Andy Hunter scored five minutes later to earn a point.

Brora Rangers and Wick Academy fought out a goal-less draw, with Wick holding out for half an hour with ten men following Gordon MacNab's dismissal.

Inverurie Locos reached the Aberdeenshire Cup semi-finals with a 3-0 win at home to Inverurie Locos.

Mark Souter, Milosz Ochmanski and Paul Coutts (pen) scored to book a last-four date with Aberdeen next Wednesday.

On the same night, Fraserburgh will entertain Buckie in the other semi.
