Visiting clubs had travelled from far and wide and as far afield as Shetland, Skye and Midlothian.

A bluefins spokesperson said that overall the weekend was a great success and many of the visiting clubs commented on how well the gala was run and are planning to be back next year.

There were many fantastic individual performances from the swimmers, with new personal bests almost across the board in Forres.

There was also an impressive home medal haul.

Top of the board was Callum McBeath with Gold for all five of his 100m events.

Alex Allan also won a Gold for the 100m Breaststroke, Backstroke and Individual Medley and then scooped the Silver for 100m butterfly and freestyle.

Caitlin Souter won a Silver for the 100m backstroke and butterfly and got a Bronze for the 100m freestyle and 1,000 metres event.

James Boyd got a Bronze for 50m back and breaststroke; Owen Taylor won Silver for 100 breaststroke, Isla McNeill got a Bronze for 100m butterfly and Fay Prosser brought home the Bronze for 100m backstroke.

The previous weekend was also successful for the club, as Jordan Coia and Callum McBeath travelled to Peterhead to compete in the North District Age Group Championships.

Jordan made five finals: the 100m breaststroke and 100m backstroke finishing 4th in both. He finished 4th in the 200 metres breaststroke and 5th in the 200metres Individual Medley and 200m backstroke.

Callum won bronze for his 200 butterfly and made finals for another two events, coming 4th in 200m breaststroke and 6th in the 400 freestyle.
