Highland League: Max Barry strike keeps Buckie Thistle top, Brechin City hit Inverurie Locos for five

It's 'as you were' at the top of the Highland League as results went to form on Saturday.

Buckie Thistle stayed on top, bouncing back from their Aberdeenshire Shield final defeat in midweek to win 1-0 at Turriff United through Max Barry's 75th minute goal.

Brechin had won the earlier kick-off, coming from behind to comfortably defeat Inverurie Locos.

Lloyd Robertson struck early on for the visitors before two Ewan Loudon goals, the second from the penalty spot had City ahead at the break.

Marc Scott, Kieran Inglis and Jamie Bain all netted after the interval to give Brechin a 5-1 win.

Shield winners Fraserburgh completed a good week's work with a 4-0 success at home to Keith.

Sean Butcher and Scott Barbour had Broch 2-0 up inside 15 minutes and Ryan Sargent and sub Josh Bolton netted in the second half.

Rothes defeated Forres Mechanics 2-1 in the Moray derby at Mackessack Park.

Brora Rangers needed a Dale Gillespie goal direct from a corner to make the scoring breakthrough at Lossiemouth.

The Coasters kept the scoreline at 1-0 until two late goals by sub Max Ewan clinched a 3-0 Cattachs success.

Nairn County player boss Steven MacKay scored a 90th minute winner for his team at Wick Academy.

Marc MacGregor put Wick in front after 17 minutes before Angus Dey levelled just before the break.

Formartine United's fine run continued with a 3-2 victory at Banks O' Dee.

Dee scored first through Mark Gilmour, but Paul Campbell made it eight goals in three games for United with a double while Graeme Rodger also netted to put the away side in command, though Kane Winton did pull one back in stoppage time.

Deveronvale went down 3-1 away to Clach.

James Anderson and Harry Hennem has the Inverness men 2-0 up inside the opening quarter before Dane Ballard pulled one back.

Donald Morrison sealed Clach's win in the closing 15 minutes.

Strathspey Thistle's match against Huntly was off due to snow.
