THE FORTIETH Winter Gathering at Universal Hall, Findhorn, is on this weekend.
The wider community is invited to experience the annual celebration starting at 7.30pm on Saturday, featuring seasonal music, dance, song and spoken word by a range of performers from teenagers to 80-year-olds.
Organiser Sharon Took-Zozaya confirmed the first Winter Gathering, organised by Virginia Lloyd-Davies, was in 1981 and featured the Culbin Singers.
She said: "In this time of covid, we are grateful for the opportunity to offer winter cheer, both on stage and through donations to support our neighbours."
Attendance to the event is free but donations will be gratefully received and shared between Craigellachie-base families' charity R-evolution for Good, helping mental health and wellbeing in Moray, as well as charity Moray Food Plus, addressing local food poverty.
The event is sponsored by the New Findhorn Association (NFA) and The Findhorn Foundation.
