The Craigellachie Bridge is photographed here by Richard Russell.

.

Designed by the renowned civil engineer Thomas Telford, it was built from 1812-1814 while Britain was still at war on the continent with Napoleon.

Its single span of approximately 151ft was revolutionary for the time.

Sturdy, yet beautifully elegant, the bridge remained in regular use to traffic until 1963.
