Tributes paid to teenagers killed in crash between Elgin and Lossiemouth

TRIBUTES have been paid to two Moray teenagers who lost their lives in a car crash this week.
Police confirmed on Tuesday that Marcus Beck (17), from Elgin, had died in the crash, and the second boy who died has been named locally as 16-year-old Gregor Booth.
Marcus’ family described him as “a young man who loved going out with his friends” and said he “will be missed so much”.
Both families have requested privacy as they come to terms with their losses.

Marcus and Gregor died when an e-bike they were passengers on was in a collision involving four cars on the A941 between Elgin and Lossiemouth on Monday, March 25.
Scores of floral tributes have been left at the roadside, near to where the incident took place, by mourning friends, family and members of the local community.
Tributes have also been pouring in for the popular duo on The Northern Scot’s Facebook page.
Hannah Edwards posted: “Heartbreaking news! R.I.P Marcus and Gregor! Fly high boys.”
Lorna Whyte added: “Heartbreaking and devastating news. Thinking about the families of the boys, the people in the cars and the emergency team dealing with this tragic accident.”
Police have asked those leaving tributes to the pair to park sensibly and place flowers away from the roadside.
Sergeant Iain Nicholson said: “We understand that this has been an extremely traumatic incident not only to the families and friends of those involved, but also the wider community.
“People will rightly want to pay tribute and we respectfully ask anyone visiting the site to please park sensibly and away from the junction for everyone’s safety, or alternatively reach the area via the cycle path.”
