The opening gig of the Universal Hall's spring season sees the Findhorn venue welcoming a legendary triumvirate of musicians.

Mike McGoldrick, John Doyle, and John McCusker first jammed together as teenagers.

A quarter of a century later and these Celtic folk heroes are still combining forces to share music with the world.

Together they have released two studio albums in recent years – The Reed That Bends in the Storm (2020) and The Wishing Tree (2018).

Apart, they have undertaken many other musical projects, playing with the likes of Bob Dylan, John Cale, Joan Baez, Paul Weller, Mark Knopfler, Eddi Reader and Paolo Nutini, amongst many others.

A review which appeared in The Herald of one of their live performances stated: "It takes a lifetime of playing to sound as effortless as these guys."

Watch them live below at Celtic Colours International.

Mike McGoldrick, John Doyle, and John McCusker are going to be playing at the Universal Hall on Friday, February 24, from 7.30pm-9.30pm.

Tickets can be purchased from the Phoenix Shop in Findhorn.

A spokesperson for the venue said: "We are offering a free carer/companion ticket for any disabled or wheelchair-user throughout our shows this season.

"It would be helpful if these are booked in advance via the WeGotTickets website, so we can ensure adequate accessible seating is reserved on the day of the event."
