HANDYMEN in Forres are making a positive difference to the wider community.

Forres Men's Shed members produce garden furniture and the group, which meets five days a week at the Waterford recycling centre, most recently handed over a garden seat and bird feeding table to the Linkwood View sheltered housing complex in Elgin run by Hanover Housing.

The men's shed welcomes new members to learn skills or find a good use for existing skills.

The shed is aimed at older men, perhaps living alone, and is aimed at providing friendship and companionship, while also making items for local groups and members of the public.
