Findhorn eco-village played host to the Rise 2022 contemporary dance festival on Saturday.

More than 330 people attended at least one event during the course of the day.

Making an appearance at the festival were the Mexican dance company Foco alAire who invited onlookers to come join their unusual procession.

Threaded Fine by choreographer Rosemary Lee featured 24 dancers, aged from nine into their 70s, each performing the same piece one after another.

Also featured was Dancing on the Inside, a film honouring the legacy of the Scottish filmmaker and dance enthusiast Simon Fildes.

The festival was organised by Dance North Scotland, the Findhorn-based dance company founded nearly 20 years ago by Karl and Deborah Jay-Lewin.
