FOUR Perspex silhouetted soldiers will be the focal point of events to commemorate 100 years since the end of World War I.

They will be used at five different locations within Dyke and Edinkillie as part of the There But Not There campaign, created by the charity Remembered.

David Harrison, a church elder with Dyke and Edinkillie Parish Churches, said: "There are seven events planned, starting on November 8, which aim to bring people together to mark the centenary.

"Our events will be raising money for Help For Heroes and Poppy Scotland and we were gifted four of the Perspex soldiers. They will be placed at all of our events."
