Registration to open for Moray ELC, childminders and schools

EARLY Learning and Childcare (ELC), childminder and school registration in Moray will take place between Monday and Friday, January 15-26.
The whole registration process for all children aged three and four, and eligible two year olds entitled to their funded hours in ELC, should be completed online at any point during those two weeks. This is for any child due to start ELC in August 2024 and January or April 2025.
As each ELC setting and childminder offers different hours and options parents and carers should take time to research settings and chose a placement that best fits the needs of their family. Further information, including a video explaining the entire ELC registration process, can be found online.
Enrolment for P1, August 2024 starts should also be completed online. Full details on the admissions procedure for primary schools can be found on the Moray Council website.
Parents and carers in Moray should have their child’s birth certificate and proof of address ready for registration. These are required to be uploaded for both school and ELC registrations. Parents wishing to enrol their child at one of Moray's Roman Catholic schools will also be required to provide their child’s Roman Catholic baptismal certificate.
Registration links go live on January 15, applications should not be made before then. The allocation of places is not based on a first come first served basis so applications can be made at any point during the two-week registration period.
