Racist abuse incident at Inverness station

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a member of staff at Inverness train station was racially abused.

The incident happened at around 9.40am on Monday, June 12, near the gate line at platforms three and four.

The victim was advising on cancelled services and alternative travel options when the suspect began using racist language towards him.

Several people approached the victim after the incident to check if he was okay.

Officers are hoping to hear from these witnesses or from anybody else with information that may help their investigation.

The suspect is described as being white, male, about 5ft 10ins tall and around 62-years-old,

He had a heavy build, short grey hair and thick glasses.
