Police probe theft from farm near Elgin

POLICE have issued an appeal after items were stolen from a farm on the outskirts of Elgin.

A number of buildings and vehicles were broken into and specialist electrical camera equipment was stolen from East Mains Farm between 11.30pm on Saturday, August 15, and 8.50am on Sunday, August 16.

Detective Sergeant Pirie, from Fraserburgh CID, said: "Enquiries are ongoing and I would appeal to the public to report any suspicious activity which may be linked to the theft and to get in touch if anything has been captured on private CCTV or dashcam footage."

Anyone with information is asked contact Police Scotland on 101 or the Police Scotland website, quoting reference PS-20200816-1392 / CF0184760820. Anonymous reports can be made to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
