POLICE are appealing for information after antiques and medals were stolen from a house in Forres on Tuesday morning.

Police are making an enquiry into the housebreaking, which occurred on Tuesday, January 21, at a property on St Leonards Road between 8.30am and 1.15pm.

A number of valuable items were stolen, including antique jewellery and medals. Many of these items are irreplaceable and hold a high sentimental value.

Detective Robert Graham of the North East CID Proactive Team said: "I urge anyone who has any information regarding this despicable crime or who may have seen any suspicious persons, vehicles or actions – particularly in the woodlands of Cluny Hill – to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 1622 of Tuesday 21 January 2020, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
