Storm Babet has caused several power outages in Moray in addition to shutting at least one road.

SSEN is currently reporting power cuts in Ballindalloch, Knockando, Carron, Criagellachie, Dallas, Rothes, Maggieknockater as well as the area to the north of Lhanbryde.

The A98 road through the woods between Fochabers and Buckie has been closed.

Meanwhile unusual sights are in evidence at Lossiemouth where a huge mass of white foam has invaded the seafront.

The foam has been caused by the storm whipping up decaying organic matter within the waters of the Moray Firth.

Water levels on the River Spey have reportedly more than tripled at Aberlour, rising from 2ft to 7ft.

The storm is forecast to continue to around 6pm on Friday evening.
