Two online sessions on community funding are coming to Moray.
Two online sessions on community funding are coming to Moray.

TWO forthcoming online sessions will be aiming to show how communities can generate more income.

Join members of the Community Shares Scotland team at the session, which is being hosted by tsiMoray.

The new programme, which launched with the Development Trusts Association Scotland and Scottish Communities Finance, aims to demonstrate that money can be generated, owned and controlled by the community. The sessions aim to help communities to not only better understand their sources of wealth, but also retain more of that wealth and have greater say in how it is used.

The event will aim to increase awareness, knowledge and use of financial models that generate and capture wealth within a community. These financial models are particularly pertinent as funding becomes harder to attract, and we attempt to move away from grant dependency towards building thriving, sustainable and resilient enterprises.

The session will provide information on: Community shares; Community bonds; Donation-based crowdfunding; Case studies.

The sessions are due to take place on Thursday, January 18 from 10am-11.30am and the following week on Thursday, January 25, 6pm to7.30pm. Visit https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/ to book a place.

A Zoom link will be sent to participants closer to event.
