"No suspect" for "violent" murder of Moray mum Kiesha Donaghy

POLICE have no suspects for the murder of Elgin mum Kiesha Donaghy, they have confirmed, and said the 32-year-old suffered a "violent attack".
Kiesha Donaghy was last seen on Wednesday, November 15, and her body was found at a property on Anderson Drive at 7.20pm on Thursday, November 16.
At a press conference this morning (November 21) at Bucksburn Police Station, Aberdeen, Detective Superintendent Lorna Ferguson said the killer's identity and the murder weapon remain a mystery.
DS Ferguson said she "can't go into all the injuries", but when asked whether Kiesha had suffered head injuries the senior officer replied: "mainly, yes".
"She has sustained a violent attack, but as to the actual weapon that was used, I'm unable to establish what that may be at this point in time," she said.
"We've clearly got forensic work still ongoing at the locus, and that will continue over the coming days and things will become clearer."
Responding to a question about whether Kiesha knew her killer, DS Ferguson said it was "impossible to tell just now."
And asked what her message to Kiesha's killer would be, she said: "I would say that somebody somewhere knows who you are, and anybody with information, please contact us.
"We've got a thorough investigation ongoing.
"I've absolutely no doubt that, in the fullness of time, through witnesses, CCTV, and other means, through specialist resourcing that we have, that we will catch them."
About the likelihood of related incidents taking place, she said: "I've got no information to suggest that anybody else is at risk, but again, I'll remain open-minded on that."
DS Ferguson urged anybody with information on the murder to contact any local police officer, or call 101 quoting reference number 3250.
"A police presence is likely to remain in Elgin in the coming days as our investigation progresses," she said.
