FORRES Area Community Trust (FACT) is organising free fun sessions - with snacks - at Forres Town Hall.

The development trust used support from The National Lottery Community Fund for the Family Social Club from 3.30-5.30pm on Monday, October 16, on fortnightly now.

FACT development manager Michelle Gillibrand confirmed no booking is required but children must be accompanied by an adult.

She said: “Join us for family activities! There is storytelling, fun with clay and digital activities. Snacks and drinks are provided.”

FACT was awarded £49,009 towards the running of a weekly pop-up advice café to support local residents dealing with the cost-of-living crisis.

Michelle explained: “The first few sessions are about families coming together in a relaxed and friendly environment, enjoying activities with others. The range of activities will give everybody the chance to try something new in a relaxed atmosphere but, most of all, will provide a space where families can have fun and meet others while enjoying free refreshments. Over time, if participants would like information or advice with regard to the challenges of the cost-of-living, we’ll be able to provide this.”
