Nearly 14,000 Moray residents have been given their first Covid-19 jab

MORE than one in seven people in Moray have received their first Covid-19 jab.
Figures released by Public Health Scotland show that, as of February 7, at least 13,951 Moray residents have been given their first dose of either the Pfizer or AstraZeneca vaccine.
This is roughly 15 per cent of the area's population – which was 95,520 at the last update in 2018.
NHS Grampian, which is now beginning to vaccinate people aged between 65 and 70, has given out 79,816 first dose jabs. That is 16.15 per cent of Grampian's population.
Scotland-wide, 866,823 people had received their first jab by February 7. That's 19 per cent of Scotland's population. Of those, 11,518 have received their second jab.
Nearly 92 per cent of those aged 80 plus, 67 per cent of those aged 75-79 and 34 per cent of those aged 70-74 have received their first dose of the vaccine.
