More than 20 per cent of Moray's adults fully vaccinated against Covid-19

MORE than one in five adults in Moray have received both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine.

A total of 17,796 adults across the area have received two jabs, which amounts to 22.3 per cent of Moray's adult population.

Meanwhile, 48,834 adults (61.3 per cent of the area's adult population) have received at least the first jab.

In the last two weeks, the focus has been on the second doses. A total of 8188 second doses have been administered in that time, while 700 first doses were given.

Moray's numbers remain ahead of the national average, with 60.6 per cent of adults (2,752,575 people) across Scotland having received their first jab and 18.7 per cent (847,655 people) having received both.

Across the NHS Grampian health board region, 57 per cent of the adult population (279,507 people) have received a first dose, with 22 per cent of adults (106,694 people) having been fully vaccinated.
