Moray session to focus on surviving the cost of living crisis

SURVIVING the cost of living crisis is set to take centre stage at a Moray workshop.

Part of Challenge Poverty Week, which runs over October 2-8, the cost of living session has been organised by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP)

It will bring together different partner organisations who will deliver sessions that can help DWP customers during the most challenging part of the year.

Whether customers have been caught off guard by higher bills and payments, uncertain income or the loss of a job, this workshop will help customers find a way forward and take the first step towards getting on top of things.

The organisations set to deliver presentations are: Citizens Advice Bureau; Moray Council Money Advice Team; REAP; Social Security Scotland; Moray Firth Credit Union.

Anyone wishing to speak to the partners after the presentations is more than welcome.

The workshop is due to be held on Thursday, October 5 from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

It will take place at Moray Pathways Hub, Café @ The Warehouse, Francis Place, Elgin, IV30 1LQ.
