A MORAY venue will host a virtual tour by an award-winning folk group later this month.
Findhorn's Universal Hall will run the online event, Dùsgadh, which means "awakening", a collaboration between Scottish Bafta-winning animator Cat Bruce and multi award-winning folk group, Breabach.
The project will take the form of an animated film with an original score.
It features a soundtrack of five new pieces of music, one from each of Breabach’s five members.
The hour-long "evening with" presentation features behind-the-scenes footage and unseen live performances as well as a Q&A session hosted by BBC Radio Scotland broadcaster and musician Anna Massie.
Breabach members include Megan Henderson (fiddle, vocals, step dance), James Lindsay (double bass, moog, percussion, vocals), Calum MacCrimmon (Highland bagpipes, whistle, bouzouki, vocals), Conal McDonagh (Highland/Uilleann bagpipes, whistle, flute, vocals) and Ewan Robertson (acoustic/electric guitar, vocals, cajon).
The ticket sales will be split between the artists and the individual venues, so buying a ticket will not only support the band, but also the Universal Hall in what has been a difficult year.
Tickets for the online event on Tuesday, February 23, at 8pm, are priced £12, and are only available online. See universalhall.co.uk for details of how to book.
